1. Use services lawfully
Use your server only for lawful activities and content you are authorized to process or distribute. Respect intellectual-property rights, software licenses, privacy, and the terms of other services you connect to.
2. Protect other systems
Do not use a service for malware distribution, credential theft, phishing, botnet control, unauthorized access, denial-of-service attacks, or harmful network interference. Security testing requires clear authorization from the owners of every system involved.
3. No spam or deceptive activity
Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, operate fraudulent services, impersonate others, or use infrastructure to evade abuse controls. Email delivery and any relevant network-port restrictions must be discussed before ordering.
4. Respect allocated resources
Use CPU, memory, storage, network, and IP resources within the accepted order. Do not disrupt other customers or the network. Discuss unusually sustained resource consumption, specialized routing, large-scale scanning, or other nonstandard workloads in advance.
5. Keep the environment secure
Maintain strong access controls, supported software, timely patches, and appropriate monitoring. Respond to credible security issues and prevent compromised applications from harming other systems. Customers remain responsible for their self-managed environment.
6. Report concerns responsibly
Contact ServerCone with a clear description, affected service or address, relevant times, and supporting evidence that does not expose secrets. A report is assessed in context; it is not an automatic determination of wrongdoing.
7. Policy response
Activity that violates the accepted agreement, this policy, or applicable requirements may lead to investigation, restrictions, or service suspension. Follow the account or service communication process to discuss a report or remedy an issue.
