Choose the environment
A Cloud VPS gives a Linux workload an independent virtual environment. Windows RDP is for software that needs a remotely accessible Windows environment. A dedicated server gives you a whole physical machine.
A familiar operating system matters. Choose one your software supports and that you or your administrator can maintain.
Size the full workload
List the applications, database, background jobs, and operating system requirements. Leave room for peak usage and growth. Memory, CPU, storage, and monthly transfer are separate limits; a plan with enough memory can still run out of disk space.
The plan finder compares memory and environment only. It is a starting point, not an application benchmark.
Consider the location
Note your users’ locations and any data-placement requirements. The current catalog offers United States (US-1). Confirm the location on the product configuration page and test latency from the places that matter to your project.
Check the complete scope
Confirm software licensing, IP allocation, transfer handling, backups, management, and any taxes or setup charges. Ask about provisioning time, cancellation, and the process for a future upgrade.
Configure your selected plan
Choose a current plan and open its exact product configuration in the ServerCone console. Select the billing term and review the available image and location choices. For an application product, follow the included-image setup information. Ask support about special requirements before submitting an order.
